Since this is an on-line course, the majority of the studies are internet based. You will be provided with all the reading material via Word Docx and PDF files. Video examples will either come from my YouTube channel or left for you in my dropbox account. I have hundreds of videos that have never been published and I will craft video on the spot if needed. Your process will include following written directions, producing both written and video content to assure me that you have achieved an understanding of each topic.

To be clear, this isn't  a writing course. As long as we communicate, you can use any form or grammar you what. I ain't jokin'. If you are interested in writing for the broader market, we can include that in your program. My wife Michele is the best editor I know - especially on this topic. She is a big part of why I have nine Maxwell Awards from the dog-writer's association. More importantly, writing skills help you organize your thoughts. Regardless of how pretty they are, written submissions will trigger suggestions about organizational structure and language. Those suggestions are meant for two important reasons. First, if you can write about what you do, you can take your knowledge well beyond your local sphere. I have written magazine and newspaper columns for more than 25 years - and published feature articles in major dog magazines for the same period. Being able to cite published work is a great credential.

The second reason to offer suggestions about your writing is to make sure we are on the same page. We will develop a relationship over time that depends on clarity. If we agree on the format of submitted texts, it will aid in that goal. If you speak like my Mississipi relatives or any other dialect, I am perfectly comfortable with any idiom you use. As long as we are on the same page, it's fine with me. :)
