First Ever... Bullympics

-- for Bully breeds -- fun, activities, competitions and...

Gary Wilkes

two-day clicker training and behavior modification seminar

Note: This seminar is not limited to Bull breeds, but if you have one, you don’t want to miss this.

When was the last time you saw a Bull Terrier let go of a poodle’s neck in exchange for a treat? If you’re tired of “wisdom” that claims a Boston will stop attacking another Boston merely because you click a clicker or offer a treat, this seminar is for you.  Gary Wilkes works with Bully breeds on a regular basis -- he recieves his clients by veterinary referral and a typical case would be two English Bulls trying to kill each other -- followed a month later by a new set of English Bulls trying to kill each other. Understanding how to inhibit natural and learned behaviors without ruining your dog’s attitude is a skill that insures  mental health -- for both of you. Worrying that one of your dogs is going to kill the other or that your dog is going to kill the gardener doesn’t make for restful sleep. Along with behavior modification, this seminar will teach you skills to help the “untrainable” Bull Breeds to compete in dog sports... without having to run agility courses with a Chihuahua clamped firmly between his teeth. (Disclaimer: No “foo-foo breeds” will be harmed during the seminar and betting on the outcome of accidental Bull breeds vs. Poodle/Chihuahua/Bichon/ShiTzu encounters will be strictly prohibited. Note to animal-rights activists -- the preceding statement is called a “joke” and is not meant to be translated literally. However, if it causes you distress to contemplate an imaginary dog fight, your attendance at the Bullympics is not required and I recommend that you take the opportunity to initiate a clandestine investigation of a veal farm or poultry processing plant in your area -- someplace far away from the Finger Lakes area of upstate NY.. )
