Clicker Training for Professional Trainers

Most of the work I do is private training by veterinary referral. I am the behavior consultant to a number of vets in the Phoenix metro area as well as a veterinary neurological service. The spectrum of people and dogs that I work with is broad -- from average pet owners with "normal" problems to competition trainers and dogs with brain damage. Somewhere in that mix is something that may be similar to your particular slice of the market and hopefully will be of benefit to you.  If you are a training professional in the Greater Phoenix Area, you can contact me at my office at 480-649-9804 for more information.

The information on this site is of two types - both of which can assist your business. First,  there is the actual dog  information. Needless to say, nobody has a monopoly on good, factual information about dogs. There may be a grain of something here that you haven't come across yet that might assist you over the bumps. Secondly, the  way the information is presented is as important as the information itself. First and foremost I am a teacher of people. If I teach them the information correctly, in a timely fashion, the training sticks and their dog  will benefit long after I am out of the picture. The dog care artlcles and clicker training articles are the result of offering this information to literally thousands of clients. I continue to perfect the specific way the information is offered - and will never stop trying to improve both the content and the presentation. My best advice to you is to keep it simple -- and stay away from scientific jargon as you would avoid the plague. We are ultimately dog trainers -- not scientists and their language doesn't speak to our clients or accurately describe what we do. If you can't say it in plain English, it's probably best left unsaid.

 Recommendations:

My two-video set, called "The Perfect Pair" is the Click & Treat Training Kit and the Doggie Repair Kit. If you work with pet owners, those two videos are the best investment you can make toward handling pet-owner problems. The Training Kit teaches the fun side of clicker training and how to build behaviors. The Doggie Repair Kit teaches you how to stop the behaviors that are likely to get your client's dog carted off to the pound before you can cash their check. The boundary training alone is worth the cost of the videos ....          The Perfect Pair
