From about 1986 until 1992, I created clicker training for dogs. When Karen Pryor and I introduced clicker training to the world in 1992, I had already proven the method with more than 1,000 dogs. The reason this is important is that A) it wasn’t an experimental method and B) those first thousand clients were the real pioneers of clicker training. I owe them a great deal by allowing me to perfect my skills in this incredibly powerful methodology. Since then, I have clicker trained thousands more dogs in virtually every area of dog activities -- agility, obedience, hunting, search and rescue, scent detection, assistance and therapy dog training and conformation.
